	MOTORLAND (2007) TEXTS: PILAR RIBAL & AGUSTÍN FERNÁNDEZ MALLO The series Motorland forms a part of a more wide documentary work carried out with the idea to form the spectacular transformation suffered by the Iberian southern territory and their human environment. The intensification of the economic relations close to the unstoppable development of new urban and tourist areas there have provoked the intensive growth of the infrastructures of communication and the geometric progression of the car park, which it has led to the appearance of a new landscape. A landscape provided with proper codes, which endures a new iconic universe designed for and for the speed, the profitability and the rapid consumption. From the analysis of the photographic accumulated material, fruit of numerous exploratory trips by road and air, it has proceeded to the confusion of the images by the technology of the collage in order to condense the commanding and forceful culture of the asphalt.
